So, yeah, it's been 16 months...

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 17, 2008, 8:24 PM
  • Listening to: "For the love of the Game" by Pillar
  • Reading: "The Eye of the World" by Robert Jordan
  • Watching: "Alvin and the Chipmunks"
  • Playing: "Go Fish"
  • Drinking: Diet Citrus Green Tea
Alright, so it's been 16 months since I posted a journal, and I honestly have a few good reasons. Most of all, I have 2 kids now, my Son will be a year old in June, and my daughter as almost 4. I am still working and trying to get a new job in Administration, but it's not God's timing yet.

I pretty much wore out my camera, so there hasn't been much going on with photography, but I've been playing/singing with my band for about 18 months, and that has taken up a lot of my time/energy/creativity. I also have a much more suburban commute now, so there's a lot less nature to shoot on my drive these days, so I'm having a little trouble focusing.

I do love to see some of the deviations when I can, and I appreciate all of you dropping by, also. I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope to do some photography again someday soon.

Best wishes,

Bear

Thank you so much for the faves :)

You have a brilliant gallery and a real eye for natural photography.

And your daughter is adorable! :)

It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary.

Hi Aaron! I saw a thumb of yours in Judy's journal and stopped by to check out your gallery. The bluebonnets caught my eye - I thought, "there's a Texas boy I haven't seen yet!" Sure enough, here you are. Anyway, I loved your gallery, you have some excellent work and your daughter is a beauty! I think I'll add you to my watches...

Hope you feel better soon and the research thing works out.
